Hi, my name is Colleen McAlinden and I am very fortunate to be the Reading Intervention and Title One Teacher at Abbot. This is my 12th year with the Ann Arbor Public Schools. Before coming to Ann Arbor, I taught kindergarten in Livonia Public Schools and in Fernandina Beach, Florida, and also taught third grade in Chesapeake, Virginia.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Michigan State University (Yes, GO GREEN!) and my Master’s with an emphasis in Literacy from Western Michigan University.

Away from school, I spend most of my time chasing around my three yorkies, spoiling my nieces and nephews, and reading.

I love being part of the Abbot All-Star team!
