I was born and raised in Michigan, which is also where my husband and I have raised our two boys. Although I am a Spartan at heart, I love Ann Arbor and what it has to offer.  

While I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts degree in gifted education from Eastern Michigan University, my real learning comes in the classroom. In my many years at Mitchell Elementary I have learned so much from my students, their families and my colleagues. I continue to learn and grow in this inspiring environment.

When I am not at Mitchell, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing yoga, relaxing on Michigan beaches and listening to music. However, my true passion is teaching. How lucky I am to have my passion be my job!
